WHO IS CRYSTAL LAHAN?
She serving as a mentor, life coach and self awareness teacher for inspired artists and ambitious professionals who are ready to make courageous leaps and express their truest selves.
With a over 15 years experience speaking and teaching on topics of Leadership, Diversity and Youth Engagement, Crystal now coaches and collaborates with socially purposed organizations, multidisciplinary teams, and conscious leaders with projects that aim to break down systemic barriers, nurture talent and innovation, and improve the mental heath outcomes for marginalized and racialized communities. She holds a Master’s degree in Social Work and a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology and sociology, both from the University of Toronto. She is the creator of the online portal TRUE LIFE PRACTICE, a safe, sacred space for conscious creatives to gently explore their spiritual lives, honour their creativity, and lead oneself gracefully through these challenging times of personal transformation and collective change. Crystal Lahan is as a creative heArtist, freelance writer, spiritual teacher, arts facilitator, human resource consultant, and practicing optimist currently residing on Unceded Coast Salish Territories (Vancouver, Canada). With over 15 years experience as a teacher of "real life topics", she has become a skilled facilitator, speaker, and consultant offering her expertise to socially purposed businesses, organizations, and non-profit groups. ❦ A UNIQUE MULTIFACETED GLOBAL CITIZEN ❦ Crystal has an interest in self-as-identity, uses an intersectional feminist approach to centre her work, teachings, and life practice. She acknowledges that she is living, learning, and serving upon the unceded indigenous land belonging to the Coast Salish people including the territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, Tsleil-Waututh Nations. ❦ ON A MISSION OF LOVE ❦ Crystal sees herself on a shared journey, helping others find peace within themselves so they can use heal emotional trauma nurture healthy relationships, and align with a globally conscious community of heart-centred servers. Her mission also includes mentoring young socially conscious heArtists who resonate with her teachings and desire spiritual support as they lead their own socially-inspired projects and venture through the turbulent waves of the creativity process. Her Crystal has developed a knack for connecting with people from all walks of life and radiates with positivity! She believes in the power of storytelling and co-creating amazing events that allows for an appreciation of the diversity of the human experience. ❦ SERVICE HISTORY ❦ Crystal has served the community in a variety of leadership and supporting roles within the mental health, education, and arts sectors such as: Project manager, community social worker, college instructor, researcher, sex educator, youth counsellor, non-profit consultant. She holds a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree and a Honours Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toronto. ❦ EMBRACING HER HEARTISTY ❦ Crystal is currently fulfilling her lifetime dream of expressing herself as a "Creative HeArtist".
